President's Report

Thank you to everyone that attended our second virtual meeting and a special thank you to Carol Ann Hartnagle and Andrew Ysasi for their presentations. We used Zoom again and things went rather well.

Our June meeting will be on Teams, and free! Michael Elkins will be our main presenter and will discuss ways to deal with the pandemic. We will also have a workshop from ECS Imaging. Unfortunately, our Spring Seminar is now postponed until next year.

This is a great time to volunteer to serve on the board. We are in need of your expertise and most importantly time. Please let me know if you'd like to volunteer.

Finally, please help us raise some funds for our chapter charity, The Metro Denver Homeless Initiative. You should be able to donate when registering for a meeting or on the chapter charity page. Also, you can send a check to our mailing address.

Spring Seminar Cancellation

Hello to All Members of the Mile-High Denver Chapter of ARMA:

COVID-19 has left Colorado with an overwhelming volume of event cancellations, and unfortunately, our Chapter’s event is no exception.  Due to the continuing impact of COVID-19 and restrictions on large gatherings in enclosed public venues, we are formally announcing the cancellation of our much-anticipated event for this year.

When we originally postponed the event to June, we were optimistic we would be able to proceed.  As it stands now, we have been forced to cancel our plans with the intent to “reschedule” the “same thing/same time” next year.  We truly hope you are willing and able to participate in the planned Spring Seminar in April 2021.  As a not-for-profit organization, these challenges have a tremendous and lasting impact on our organization, but we know we are all working together to positively move forward.

Thank you so much for your understanding.  We wish you and your loved ones a safe and healthy summer!

Respectfully,

Guy Mason, CRM

Business Partner Educational Workshop

Come early for a Business Partner Educational Workshop presented by ECS Imaging Inc. The BP workshop begins at 1130a.m. sharp!

June Educational Meeting

This month we will hold the virtual meeting on Microsoft Teams from noon to 1 p.m. Our speaker, Michael Elkins, will discuss Covid-19 Pandemic and how it has had a tremendous impact on the way we work. As states and local governments have implemented stay-at-home orders, for most people, the office is but a memory. Rather than looking for meeting rooms where we would gather to collaborate, we are now forced to find new ways to accomplish that collaboration. Where once we called up the helpdesk, we are now forced to find new ways to get our questions answers as those resources are consumed with other urgent demands. How we work has changed. Will it return to what was? Likely not.  As users and companies have shifted to supporting a remote workforce, new solutions and best-practices have been created. This presentation will review how that impacts us, and how we adjust.

Stick around after the Educational Meeting for the Annual Business Meeting (June 16th, 2020)

We will be holding our annual business meeting at the end of the June 16th, 2020 Educational Meeting.  During the annual business meeting we will be electing, presenting and swearing in the 2020 – 2021 Officers and Directors of the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA.  If you are interested in joining the Board please send an email to [email protected] or contact any existing Board Member with your interest.
