Aligning Systems Development and Implementation with Your Organization's RIM Requirements

 Synopsis:

What does it take to ensure systems you develop or acquire align with your RIM requirements? This session will offer you guidance to increase the odds of compliance with your organization's RIM goals

 Takeaways:

-RIM critical partners must be involved in the SDLC process (waterfall or agile) from the earliest stages in order to ensure systems properly manage information asset across the information lifecycle.

-As part of the SDLC process your RIM program must build, maintain and update, as needed, a framework in order to provide current requirements information and manage your part of the review process.

-Not all systems are able to adequately manage and disposition records and information. The process created must also be able to review and grant exceptions and suggest work arounds when issues arise.

The Story:

Over 20 years ago I realized the disconnect between those who bought/built systems and compliance with records and information management requirements. Now my time is spent making that connection.

This story began in 2000 with an awareness of a gap I saw when I started working around software developers and how it is now being filled through the work I do on a daily basis.

 Intended Outcome:

Understand the importance of making sure the systems used to process and manage information assets are properly created and configured to properly retain and disposition records and information.

BUSINESS PARTNER EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP PRESENTED BY:

Long View Systems will be presenting how innovations in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence can easily be leveraged to simplify and transform Records Management and Information Governance. Apply AI capabilities such as Optical Character Recognition for scanned documents, translation, key phrase extraction, location, people, and organization detection to any of your structured and unstructured data. Microsoft Azure Cognitive Search is the only cloud search service with built-in AI capabilities that enrich all types of information to easily identify and explore relevant content at scale. Deploy a search index quickly and avoid operational maintenance. Take advantage of Azure AI speech, vision, and language services to transform raw, unstructured information into searchable content. Easily orchestrate AI services that bring structure to your data before it’s indexed. Extend the Cognitive Search platform to match your specific business goals and industry requirements. Better understand your data using custom models and classifiers, such as legal clause classifiers or manufacturing material identifiers, available in any language or framework.
