2010-2011 Chapter Charity is The Children’s Hospital
In years past the Mile High Denver Chapter of ARMA has supported various charities. The Fisher House is one we have supported in years past. They help the families of soldiers who are suffering from illness and injury. Last year we supported Metro Volunteers who provided a one-stop-shop to help organize the time and efforts across many charities and organizations. For 2010-2011, the Board has chosen The Children’s Hospital for our charity to support for the year. This will be an exciting organization to support through the whole program year. What will we be doing? How about: DVD drives at monthly meetings — where we collect DVD’s (new and used) to donate to The Children’s Hospital, or a single item silent auction at our monthly meetings with all proceeds going to Children’s Hospital, or collecting any monetary support anyone can give. The exciting thing about monetary support is the Chapter budget includes matching donations for a total Chapter contribution of $500!!!
Wait! There’s More!
We will also be looking for creative ways for our membership to donate their time to benefit Children’s Hospital. There are a few major fundraising events locally that need people and their time to ensure the events are successful. Watch for information on those opportunities. We’ll keep you up-to-date in the coming months.
In order to facilitate this fantastic charity we are reaching out to YOU, our members, to volunteer on our newly formed Charity Committee. Bill Bradford, Membership Director, and Emily Bone, Treasurer, are excited to be the co-chairs. Please feel free to reach out to one of us with any questions and/or interest in volunteering!
